Retha Sanders

Graveside services for Retha Bernice Sanders, 85, of Shawnee, formerly of Coalgate will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Vamoosa Cemetery.

Ms. Sanders passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at a Shawnee nursing home. She was born April 22, 1933 at Beggs, OK to Harold Azile and Oma Mae Gordon Massey.

Ms. Sanders was a secretary for the Department of Education for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Retha E. Roberson and husband Johnny, Shawnee, Mary V. Bebb of Moore and Debbie Deemer of Broomfield, CO; a son, Michael Sanders of Ada; brother, Gene Massey and wife Sally of Oklahoma City; niece, Kimm Rich of Eufaula; nephew, Kevin Foxx of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
