RETHA ROBBINS
ADA-Graveside services for Retha Lee (Cantrell) Robbins, 79, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Jesse Rodgers and Mr. Eugene Bullard will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robbins died Monday, December 16, 2013 at her home. She was born November 19, 1934 in the Egypt Community, west of Ada to Lawrence Edward and Iva "Ivie" Muriel Herrin Cantrell. She graduated from Byng High School in 1953 and East Central University in 1956.
She married Rual Clifton Robbins of Stonewall on December 22, 1956 in Ada. Mrs. Robbins taught Headstart at Francis for four years, and Vocational Home Economics at Byng High School from 1971 until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Gateway Church in Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Rual Robbins of the home; two sons, Rual Clifton Robbins, Jr., of Allen, TX, and Randall Daryl Robbins of Canyon, TX; two foster-daughters, Sandy Creamer of Ada, and Cindy Adamson of Oklahoma City; two sisters, W. (Pokey) Deaton of Ada and Lou Ann McVay of Grants Pass, OR; a brother, Joe Cantrell of Atwood; her grandchildren, Kyle Robbins of San Angelo, TX, Savanna Robbins of Allen, TX, Matthew Robbins of Allen, TX, LaShell Robbins of Canyon, TX, and Cory Robbins of Canyon, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Riley Edward Robbins.
