Reba Lapachia
Allen Hazday
May 29, 1934 – July 17, 2022
Reba Lapachia Allen was born May 29, 1934 near Ada to George Albert "Pete" Allen and Essie Mary Lee White. Reba entered her Heavenly home Sunday, July 17, 2022 at her home in Pickett at the age of 88.
She started her medical career as a scrub nurse at Valley View Hospital in Ada. She later went on obtain her LPN and RN degrees. She worked for Dr. Pennington for several years. She retired from Children's Hospital in OKC as an ER nurse after 20 years. Even after retirement she continued work as an administrator for several home health's in Norman and OKC.
She is survived by her 3 children: son Chuck Love and wife Donna, daughter Sheri Wilkerson and husband Bruce, son Danny Love and wife Suize. 6 grandchildren: Ashley Dansby and husband Justin, Nathan Brundidge, April Reust and husband Travis, Brandi Cadenhead and husband Jack, Amanda Langwell and husband Kirk, and Natilie Love. 11 great-grandchildren. And a very special sister-in-law Em Allen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
Nanaw, as she was known by the grandkids, taught them to love vegetables, love working with flowers, using those Kohl's coupons whether you needed anything or not, to have manors, morals and to work hard! One of her biggest joys was helping raise 3 of her great-grandkids (Maggi, Maddi and Mason). The memories they have are endless!
Later in life she enjoyed traveling all over the US with her life-long friends, Home Shopping network/QVC, and her morning coffee on the porch.
She had a small circle of tight-knit friends who she loved very much; some of whom were childhood friends.
The past few years she longed to see those who went on before her. Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held Thursday, July 21 at 10am at Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 20 from 5pm-7pm at Criswell Funeral Home.
