Memorial services for Rachel Sutton, 83, Ada, are 10 AM Thursday, August 3rd, at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sutton passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born August 23rd, 1939 in Park Hill, Oklahoma.

Rachel married the love of her life, Paul Sutton, on April 26th 1958 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She graduated from ECU July 30th 1986. She retired from the Soil Conservation Service in Ada, January 31st 2002. She and Paul were supporters of the Pontotoc County fair for more than 50 years as well as numerous 4-H and FFA groups.

Survivors include: daughter, Aimee Ligon and Rachel's favorite son-in-law Curtis; grandson, Dakota Dooley Atwood and wife Jamie and son Sutton; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Atwood and son Kyzer; granddaughter, Julia Atwood and daughters Braewyn and Krislyn; granddaughter, Erica Goodson husband Austin, son Bowdie, and twin daughters Frankie and Charlie; grandson, Cody Ligon and wife Amanda; sisters, Gail Teague and Margaret Hood; best cousin, Sherlyn Phillips and husband Tommy; sister – in – law, she loved like a sister Ruth Sutton; and numerous nieces, nephews, close family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Elkins; husband, Paul Sutton; son, Eric Sutton and great grandson, Chevy Dale.

Honorary Pall Bearers are Bill Bolin, Frankie Walker, Tommy Phillips, Mark Gray.
