Services for R. C. Wilson, 91, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rev. Donna Gustin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Sunshine Cemetery, south of Roff. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at a local hospital. He was born November 19, 1926 at Ada to Scott and Annie Middleton Wilson. He lived in this area all his life and attended school at Happyland.

He married Jo Manuel February 14, 1975 at the Ada Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. She preceded him in death August 18, 2005. Mr. Wilson had worked at Brockway Glass Co. and later retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation after 28 years of service. He had also taught mechanics at the Pontotoc Technology Center. Mr. Wilson was a longtime member of the Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a 32 degree Mason and was involved with the Masons for 52 years. Mr. Wilson served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Henley of Pampa, TX; a daughter, Glenda Herring and husband Neal of Mounds; one granddaughter, JoAnn Knighten and husband Curtis of Ada; three grandsons, David Carpenter, Jason Carpenter and Justin Carpenter, all of Tulsa; eight great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Lona Ann Wilson Prince; and one son, David Earl Wilson.

Bearers will be Scott Knighten, Dayton Knighten, Morico Lewis, Dannie Harlin, Sammy Wilson and Stanley Drannon.
