R. D. BROOKS
ADA-Services for R. D. Brooks, 75, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Bill Sluder officiating. Burial follows at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Brooks died on Monday, March 17, 2008, at his home. He was born August 31, 1932, near Lula to David Gallaway Brooks and Exxie Mae Roach Brooks. He attended school at Rocky Point and graduated from Lula High School. He retired as an employee of the Oklahoma State Highway Department and later worked as a security officer for Flex-n-Gate. He was a member of Bright Star Lodge #113 AF & AM, Stonewall, and affiliated with College Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include ex-wife, Charlene Brooks; a son, Paul D. Brooks, Ada; a daughter, Angela Graham and her husband Jeff, Russellville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Hayley Brooks and Jeff Graham Jr., six sisters, one brother and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bearers are Kenny Fortner, Kenneth Fortner, Donald Brooks, J. L. McMeans, Wayman Lillard and Clyde Wooley. Honorary bearer is Jerry Fleming.
