Priscilla Myers
Services for Priscilla Ann Myers, 72, of Bridge Creek, formerly of Byng, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the New Bethel Baptist Church, Rev. Joe Dixon and Chaplain Kathy Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, Thursday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Myers died Monday, July 17, 2017 at her home in Bridge Creek. She was born May 28, 1945 in Ada to Charles "Ed", Sr. and Eva Thompson Crabtree. She graduated from Allen High School.
She married Harold Duane Myers on August 19, 1970. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2001. Mrs. Myers was a retired clerk typist for the Dept. of Human Services. She loved animals, loved to travel, and was an active member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Priscilla was an extra-ordinary woman who faced many health challenges in her life with the utmost grace and dignity. Her strength and courage was an example for all. Her loving husband, Duane, stood by her side through many hospitalizations over the years and many, many appointments.
Even through the many challenges she faced, she chose to live life to the fullest which included flying to Notre Dame with the 1999 "Pride of Oklahoma" marching band with her son Edward, who was in the band, and her mother. She and her mother also attended many OU football games in Norman and followed them to several bowl games.
She loved attending her church, New Bethel Baptist, in Byng where she loved working with the children in the nursery.
Survivors include one son, Edward Crabtree and wife Cindy of Bridge Creek; one step-son, David Myers and wife Janet of Edmond; one step-daughter, Julie Pederson and husband Curt of Roseburg, OR; her mother, Eva Crabtree of Allen; two brothers, Mike Crabtree and wife Pam of Yukon, and Charles Crabtree, Jr. of Jacksonville, AR; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and her faithful and loving dog, Paco.
Bearers will be Christopher Bashant, Justin Bashant, Kevin Crabtree, Tommy Cooper, Braden Cooper and David Painter. Honorary bearers will be Mary Keith, Donna Willoughby, Casey Pickelsimer, Chase Bashant and David Myers.
