Phillip Wilson
ADA-Services for Phillip Earl Wilson, 76, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Dan Megehee will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Wilson died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at a local hospital. He was born August 18, 1938 in the Happyland Community east of Ada to Kenith E. Wilson and Elva Lee Ragland Wilson. He attended Homer school and graduated from Byng High School. While a student at Byng, he played baseball , and was a catcher for teammate, Don Kaiser. He attended East Central University for two years.
He married Binnie Elaine Smith January 18, 1957. Mr. Wilson was a sausage maker for Reeves Packing Company and later Reeves Canadian Valley Company. He served in the 45th Division of the U. S. National Guard from 1955 to 1964 and was a member of the B.P.O. E. #1640 in Ada from 1975 to present.
Survivors include his wife, Binnie, of the home; three sons, Jeffery Wade Wilson, Ada, Daryl Craig Wilson and husband, Stephen Eryman, Ft. Myers, FL and Nathan Wilson, Ada; one daughter, Alana Wilson Schnappauf, Saint Michael, Minnesota; two sisters, Juanita Wilson Pratt and Edith Ann Humphrey, both of Ada; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard Arlen Wilson and Raymond Charles Wilson; and a sister, Doris Lynell Munoz.
Bearers will be Cody Dildine, Hastings Chase, Scott Pratt, Jerry Sellers, Ronnie Shaw and Nathan Wilson. Honorary bearers will be Brian Danker, James Jussley and Martin Jussley.
