Phillip Nuner
Services for Phillip Lee Nuner, 51, of Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Crosspointe Church in Ada. Rev. Chad Large will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Nuner passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at his home. He was born October 19, 1968 at Ada to Richard and Grace Ralston Nuner. He attended McLish Grade School and graduated from Stonewall High School. He received a Bachelor's Degree from East Central University in Accounting.
He married Karin Bates July 14, 1990 in Ada. Mr. Nuner had been employed with the Stonewall School System for 28 years as the I.T. Director and was the Stonewall School Treasurer. He was a member of Crosspointe Church in Ada, a member of the Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, six years as the Chief. He had also served as a Reserve Police Officer for nine years for the Ada Police Department and the Stonewall Police Department.
Survivors include his wife, Karin, of the home; two sons, Preston Nuner and wife Alyssa of Ada and Camron Nuner and wife Missy, Del City; a brother, Steve Nuner and wife Susan, Tulsa; sister, Cheryl Moore and husband Kemp, Newcastle; a brother-in-law, Ron Bates and wife Sandra, Ada; sister-in-law, Belinda Kindrick and husband Kevin, Ada; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Honorary bearers will be the Stonewall Volunteer Firefighters.
