Pete Fox

Services for Larry Don "Pete" Fox, 67, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Chickasaw Community Center in Ada. Rev. Don Jacob will officiate. Burial will follow at Egypt Cemetery. The Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. A Wake Service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Fox passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his home. He was born December 29, 1955 at Ada, OK to Lenard and Dorothy Lee Underwood Fox.

He married Yvonne Carol Shields July 2, 1991 in Odessa, TX. Mr. Fox worked in the Maintenance Department of the Chickasaw Nation until his retirement. He had served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home; two daughters, Amber Fox and Cara Fox, both of Ada; a niece who he raised, Falisha Keel of Norman; six grandchildren, Tadyn Walker, Kason Tresyn Walker, Kadynce Hamilton, Nathias Hamilton and Kyzer Nario; two sisters, Mary Colbert and husband Larry of Fittstown and Vera Simmons and husband Rick of Ada; two brothers, Bob Fox of Ada and Sam Fox and wife Cindy of Spaulding, OK; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Ray Carmichael and Gary Wayne Fox; a sister, Carolyn Fox; and nephew, Eric Carmichael.

Bearers will be Clovis Hamilton, Dustin Newport, George Factor, Brian Futischa, Randis Gray and Aaron Dockrey. Honorary bearers will be his grandchildren, Catie Hamilton, Gov. Bill Anoatubby, Lt. Gov. Chris Anoatubby,  Lt. Gov. Emeritus Jefferson Keel and Jeff Keel.
