PEGGY WILKERSON
ADA-A Celebration of Life Service for Peggy Lou Wilkerson, 83, of Ada will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Floyd Kaiser and Rev. Joe Dixon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilkerson died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her home. She was born December 2, 1928 in Ada, Oklahoma to Turner Arthur and Delia Mae Sutherland Brown. She graduated from Ada High School.
She married Jack Wilkerson on January 17, 1948. Mrs. Wilkerson was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She later was a bookkeeper for Ada Greenhouse for many years, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Wilkerson was a member of Oak Ave. Baptist Church and later the First Baptist Church of Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Wilkerson of the home; a son, Bruce Wilkerson and his wife Sheri of Ada; a daughter, Brenda Bevis and her husband Gordon of Longview, TX; two sisters, Betty Jean Hensley of Marina, CA, and Patty Ann Graham and her husband Gary of Manter, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jonathan Wilkerson and wife Nikki, Weatherford, TX; Garrett and Rachel Day and Griffin Day, all of Longview, TX; and Sheena and Kavon Chehresa of League City, TX; two great grandchildren, Braxton Chehresa and Luke Chehresa; and a nephew, Jerry Emory and wife Nancy of Hot Springs, AR.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Marguerite Brown, George Brown, T. A. Brown, and Wanda Brown Emory.
