PEGGY GILLIAM
HUNTSVILLE, TX/ADA, OK-Services for Peggy Lou Gilliam, 78, Huntsville, Texas/Ada, Oklahoma, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at Union Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Randall Christy officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Gilliam died on Friday, October 17, 2008, at The Woodlands, Texas. She was born June 7, 1930, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Thomas Epperson and Maggie Davis Epperson. She was raised in Lawrence, south of Ada, and graduated from high school at Fitzhugh. She was a long-time active member of Union Valley Baptist Church.
She married Conrad Creighton Gilliam on March 30, 1948, in Pauls Valley. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1994.
Survivors include three sons, Alan Gilliam, Huntsville, TX; Harold Gilliam, Billings, MT, and Robert Gilliam, Huntsville, TX; seven grandchildren, Michael, Marci, Anthony, Terry, Ryan, JD, and Caleb; two great grandchildren, Madison and Austin; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Epperson, Holdenville, OK.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Gilliam in August of 2006.
Bearers are Anthony Gilliam, Terry Richey, Ryan Gilliam, JD Corner, Josh Gilliam and Caleb Gilliam.
