PAULYNE WISECARVER
ADA-Services for Paulyne H. Edwards Wisecarver, 96, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Oak Avenue Baptist Church, Rev. Ray Talbott will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Wisecarver died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at a local nursing home. She was born November 5, 1913 at Ada, Oklahoma to J. W. and Bonnie McFarlin Cole. She attended Glenwood and Horace Mann schools in Ada. She moved back to this area in 1983 from Arkansas. Mrs. Wisecarver was a dental assistant for Dr. James Thomas for many years and later a personnel clerk for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. She was an active member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church, the Rebecca Sunday School Class, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Decatur, Arkansas. Mrs. Wisecarver was a volunteer for Ballard Nursing Center for 29 years.
Survivors include a son, Benny Edwards and wife Sammy, Ada; a daughter, Sharon Lane and husband John, Ada; one step-son, Roy Wisecarver, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Benny Edwards, Jr., Dee Angela Bond, Lynn Cavin, Scott Edwards, Denise Townsend, Debra McWilliams, Diane Funk, Donna Leslie, and Steve McWilliams; 18 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Edwards, and a daughter-in-law, Patsy Andrews Edwards.
Bearers will be her grandsons. Honorary bearers will be the Deacons at Oak Avenue Baptist Church.
