PAULA RUTLEDGE
ADA-Services for Paula June Rutledge, 66, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Dr. Pat Kilby and Rev. John Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rutledge died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born July 1, 1944 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Paul and Cordelia Randall Sharrah. She graduated from Fayetteville High School and received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in mathematics from the University of Arkansas.
She married Carl Rutledge on April 15, 1967 in Fayetteville. Mrs. Rutledge was presently the Head of the Math, Science and Engineering Department at Seminole State College. She formerly taught at East Central University for 19 years; Taylor, Arkansas High School and Ramay Jr. High School in Fayetteville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ada and a member of the Mathematical Association of America.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Rutledge, of the home; a son, David Rutledge and his wife Erin, Ada; a daughter, Amy Davis and her husband Jamie, Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Sidney Rutledge, Ada, and Brittany Davis and Jordan Davis of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother, Ronald Sharrah, Ada.
Bearers will be Larry Birdwell, Larry Vickers, Travis Qualls, Daniel Wellington, Tommy Beddow and Bob Feighner.
