PAULA ROBERTS
ADA-Services for Paula Elaine Roberts 65, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Dr. Guy C. Ames III, and Revs. Bob Langston and Don Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born November 22, 1944 at Ada, Oklahoma to Paul Olen and Charlotte Sneed Landrith. She attended Irving elementary school and Ada High School where she was a cheelearder and a representative to Girl's State. She graduated co-Valedictorian of her class in 1963. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she served as President of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, was a member of the President's Leadership Class and numerous scholastic and social organizations. She graduated cum laude with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma.
She married Lawrence F. "Larry "Roberts on January 20, 1968. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2003. Mrs. Roberts previously owned Paula's Pharmacy and had been employed with the Chickasaw Nation as a pharmacist. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, where she served as the Youth Director for the church for many years, a member of the Tanti Study Club and P.E.O., and had served on the Ada Planning and Zoning Commission. Mrs. Roberts was a pharmacist for the Compassion Outreach Center, a free clinic in Ada and had traveled throughout the world on ten medical mission trips.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Britt Morris, Ardmore; a son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kathy Roberts, Bixby; her parents, Paul and Charlotte Landrith, Ada; a brother, Tommy Landrith and his wife Gail, Ada; and five grandchildren, Samuel Roberts, Nick and Emerson Roberts, and Jack and Ava Morris.
She was preceded in death by twin grandchildren, Will and Joy Roberts.
Bearers will be John Whelchel, James Whelchel, David Henderson, Bill Yerby, Blake Crabtree and Shane Johnson.
