PAUL WALSH

ADA-Services for Paul Edward Walsh, 92, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Don Venable will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Walsh died Friday, July 2, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born December 10, 1917 at Jenkintown, Pennsylvania to Patrick John and Anna A. Doyle Walsh. He attended Jenkintown, PA schools.

He married Helen Maye Potts on October 10, 1942 at Sherman, Texas. While living in Pennsylvania, he was a grower of long stem red roses. Mr. Walsh served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in the American Theatre during World War II and retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1964 after 20 years of service. After retirement from the U. S. Air Force, he and his wife moved to Roff. Later, he was a grower for Ada Greenhouse and Donaghey Greenhouse for many years. He was a member of the Roff First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for many years, and had also served as the Mayor of Roff.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Walsh, of the home; two sons, Paul E. Walsh, Jr. and wife Alpha, Roff, and Larry Walsh and wife Marty, Konawa; two daughters, Denise Walden and husband Dennis, Ada, and Kathy Walsh, Tulsa; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Toppel and husband Fred, Jenkintown, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William "Bill" Walsh.

Bearers will be Larry Walsh, Paul Walsh Jr., Harold Todd, Christopher Crow, Dennis Walden and Darryl Paterson.
