PATSY WAGES

ADA-Services for Patsy Yvonne Wages, 63, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Cross Pointe Church, 631 W. 33rd Street, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wages died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at her home. She was born September 21, 1944 at Durant, Oklahoma to Odis Elmer and Christine Lucille Keith Lane. She attended school at Boswell and graduated from Boswell High School. She graduated from East Central University on May 8, 1976 with a Bachelor of Science and Education.

She married Carl Gene Wages on October 6, 1962 at Boswell. They moved to this area in 1974 from McAlester. Mrs. Wages taught first and second grade at Francis School from1979 until her retirement in 2002. After retirement, she worked as a substitute teacher and teachers aide with the Latta Public School District. She was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Wages, of the home; two daughters, Kristi Hayes and husband Kenny, Ada, and Keri Blevins, Ada; five grandchildren, Kody Hayes, Ada, Kory Hayes, Ada, Kailee Blevins, Ada, Kolby Blevins, Ada, and Kade Hayes, Ada; a brother, Jerry Lane and wife Nadine, Boswell; two nieces; one nephew; and five great nieces.

Bearers will be Jerry Don Wages, Clinton Lane, Chasen Bennett, Mark Manuel, Jeff Lillard, and Phil Shivers. Honorary bearers will be Glenda Lillard and Mac McKee.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105.
