PATRICIA WILLOUGHBY
ALLEN, TEXAS-Graveside services for Patricia Anne Willoughby, 83, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at Rosedale Cemetery, her son-in-law, Dr. Timothy Richardson and grandson-in-law, Rev. Kris Jones will officiate.
Mrs. Willoughby died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at an Allen, Texas hospital. She was born February 17, 1929 in Roff, Oklahoma to Tommy and Bess Dowdy Irick. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in Ada and received a Bachelor's degree from East Central University in Ada.
She married Duard C. Willoughby on October 9, 1949 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1968. Mrs. Willoughby started a business called City Hostess, in which she welcomed newcomers to the Ada area. She was employed with Oklahoma State Employment Service and later for the Oklahoma County Bar Association. Mrs. Willoughby was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children, David Willoughby and his wife Jessica of California, Susan Richardson and her husband, Dr. Timothy Richardson of Edmond, OK, and Alan Willoughby of Van Alstyne, TX; seven granddaughters, Heather Willoughby, Emily Willoughby, Elizabeth Willoughby, all of California; Karis Richardson Jones and her husband Rev. Kristopher Jones of Allen, TX, Mary Beth Richardson Qualls and her husband Kyle of Edmond, OK; and Dani Savannah Willoughby and Delaney Grace Willoughby of Van Alstyne, TX; one great grandson, Hank Aaron Jones of Allen, TX; and Baby Qualls on the way.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bess Irick.
