PATRICIA MCCLINTICK
LEE'S SUMMIT, MO-Services for Patricia Lee McClintick, 84, Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Ada are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Mike Frederick will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. McClintick died Friday, April 2, 2010 at a nursing home in Independence, Missouri. She was born January 14, 1926 in Joplin, Missiouri to Jesse Andrew and Nelle Mae Green Metsker. She graduated from high school in Joplin, Missouri and attended Joplin Jr. College.
She married George Wilson McClintick on May 19, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1987 in Ada. Mrs. McClintick was employed with the Ada Chamber of Commerce, the First National Bank of Ada and she and her husband owned and operated McClintick's Arts and Crafts Store for more than 16 years. She was a member of Victory Life Fellowship Church in Ada, and formerly the First Christian Church of Ada. She founded, hosted and taught the Sisters in Christ Bible Study for 17 years in her home from 1988 to 2005 at which time she moved into the John Knox Retirement Village, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Mike Calloway, Lee's Summit, MO; a son and daughter-in-law, Dave (Harry) and René McClintick, Ardmore, OK; grandsons, Greg Calloway, Kansas City, MO, Jordan McClintick, Los Angeles, CA, and Michael T. Calloway, Dallas, TX; granddaughters, Alyssa Calloway, Corpus Christi, TX, Libby McClintick, Chicago, IL, and Diane Ellison, St. Louis, MO; great granddaughters, Kristen and Kathryn Ellison, St. Louis, MO, Caroline Calloway, Dallas, TX, and Aria Calloway, Corpus Christi, TX; and a sister, Gloria Tilton, Quarryville, PA.
