ADA-Services for Oren Edward "Edd" Sutton, 82, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Joe Dixon and Bill Dixon will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.
Mr. Sutton died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born February 17, 1925 at Roff, Oklahoma to Riley and Millie Riggs Sutton. He lived in this area all his life and attended Mill Creek and Fitzhugh schools.
He married Juanita Hays on December 9, 1947. Mr. Sutton was a ranch worker from 1947 until 1961, and Southern Protein Feeds from 1961 until present. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Sutton, of the home; a son, Eldon Sutton and wife Sharon, Ada; three daughters, Sheila Harris, Ada, Darla Haynes and husband Jerry, Tecumseh, and LaJuana Lawrence and husband Danny, Castle Rock, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Byron McCurdy and wife Amber, Taleia McCurdy, Ernie Sutton and wife Adrian, Shelley Yeubanks and husband Corey, Austin Lawrence, Heather Lawrence, and Tiffany Lawrence; and six great grandchildren, Jordan and Morgan McCurdy, Hunter Riley and Reagan Yeubanks, and Holly and Dalton Sutton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Riley "Cowboy" Sutton, Jr., and two sisters, Jessie Barrett and Frances Riddling.
Bearers will be Byron McCurdy, Ernie Sutton, Austin Lawrence, Corey Yeubanks, Rusty Hopper and Roger Barrett.
The family says those who wish may make blood donations to the Oklahoma Blood Institute, 1930 Stonecipher Blvd., Ada, credited to Oren "Edd" Sutton.
