OPAL KINDRICK
ADA-Services for Opal Dean Kindrick, 74, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kenneth Brady will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.
Mrs. Kindrick died Friday, November 7, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was born March 23, 1934 at Kansas City, Kansas to Albert and Julia Gann Whetstone. She moved to Oklahoma in 1944, where she lived in the Baptist Orphan Home at Byng. She attended Byng school and later attended the Pontotoc Technology Center where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She married Willie J. Kindrick on November 30, 1952. Mrs. Kindrick was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a caretaker for senior adults in the Ada area. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School classes. She was a member of the Ada First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Kindrick, of the home; three sons, Mark L. Kindrick, Blue Springs, MO, Albert K. Kindrick, Holdenville, OK, and Roy E. Kindrick, Ada; a daughter, Julia M. Kindrick, Lawton, OK; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Bearers will be Kevin Kindrick, David Kindrick, Harold Kinstner, Thane Hudson, Jeremi Correll and Keith Teal.
