OPAL BOSWELL
CROWLEY, TEXAS-Services for Opal O. Boswell, 98, of Crowley, Texas, formerly of Ada, are 1 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bob Langston will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Boswell died Friday, March 30, 2013, at a Fort Worth, Texas, nursing center. She was born January 9, 1915, south of Ada, Oklahoma, to Charles and Retta Jane White Blankenship. She attended grade school in Pontotoc County and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central State Teacher's College.
She married James Lewis Boswell. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Boswell worked in the Business Office of East Central University until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church and served as secretary at the church. She was active in numerous study clubs.
Survivors include a son, John Winston Boswell and wife Alice of Crowley, TX; a daughter, Mary Jane Lillis and husband Tom of Upper Marlboro, MD; four grandsons; three great-grandsons; and five great-granddaughters.
