ADA-Services for Oma Jean Crawford, 87, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at The River Church, Rev. Robert Ware and Kenneth Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crawford died Monday, May 13, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born March 14, 1926 at Franks, Oklahoma to Andrew M. and Violet V. Borum Cecil. She attended Oakman grade school and graduated from Byng High School.
She married Harrel Marven Crawford on February 17, 1945 in Ada. Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker and a longtime member of The River Church. She served as the head of the primary department at the church for over 50 years, had served as the head of the meal programs at church and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Harrel Crawford, of the home; daughter, Carol Voyles of Ada; two sons, Philip Crawford and his wife Mildred and Eddie Crawford, all of Ada; her grandchildren, Marsha Bayatfar and husband Hamid, Jeanna Gregory and husband Les, Julee Crawley and husband Ralph, Alyson Jordan and husband Michael, Michael Crawford and Ashley Crawford; great grandchildren, Niku, Ariel, Jasmine, Lailee and Alvon Bayatfar, Wesley and Sarah Eaves, Amanda, Cheyenne and Tres Gregory, Ashlan Walker, Amber Gannon, Dayden Crawford-Welch, Micah Crawford, Kelsee Crawley, Dae Jon and Reece Jordan; a great great granddaughter, AnnaBel Walker; two sisters, Vondel Coffman and Geneva Cecil, both of Watsonville, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Gale Cecil and Dale Cecil.
