Obituary

Ollie Roberts

Funeral services for Ollie Elizabeth Roberts are 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Criswell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Ollie Elizabeth Roberts passed away on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born on Sept. 28, 1931, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Hurley and Mable Kelley. Ollie’s parents moved the family to the Cedar Grove/Francis area of Pontotoc County when she was a small child. She graduated from Francis High School in 1949. On June 14, 1952, Ollie married the love of her life, her “sweetheart,” Kenneth Roberts. The couple made a home in Ada, where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Ollie worked as a bookkeeper at various financial institutions throughout her career. She retired from Home Federal Savings and Loan in the early 1990s.

Once settled in Ada, Ollie joined Trinity Baptist Church and was an active member throughout her adult life. She showed her love of Christ to others through her kindness, compassion, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Everyone who met Ollie, loved Ollie.

Family was special to Ollie. She had four brothers, and the siblings remained close-knit throughout their lives. As her brothers married, she welcomed her new sisters-in-law to the family with love and kindness. As the nieces and nephews came along, Ollie made room in her heart for each and every one. Spending the day with Aunt Ollie was always a special treat, especially around the holidays.

Ollie is survived by sisters-in-law, Jean Kelley of Edmond, and Pat Ryes of Ada; nephews Gary (and Vicki) Kelley, Ada; Keith (and Brenda) Kelley, Edmond; Rick (and Jalinda) Kelley, Ada; Todd (and Janna) Kelley, Ada; Chance Kelley, Sapulpa; Michael (and Christian) Kelley, Mustang; Dave Nicklaus, Johnstown, Ohio; and Hank Roberts, India; nieces Gina Hickey (and Tom), Edmond; Tonja Brundridge (and Mike), Ada; Dana Kelley, Ada; Jennifer Kelley, Sapulpa; Janice Nicklaus, Lawrence, Kansas; Ann Day, Findlay, Ohio; Marci Roberts, Oklahoma City; Julie Roberts, Phoenix, Arizona; honorary niece Susan Ingram, Ada; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Roberts; brothers Hershal (Bucky), John, David, and Danny Kelley; one sister-in-law Lynn Kelley; and nephew Bryan Kelley.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Featherstone Assisted Living. We will be forever grateful for the love, kindness, and patience you showed toward Ollie during her final years.
