OLLIE "CRICKET" COOPER
ADA-Services for Ollie "Cricket" Cooper, 95, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Rusty Fuller and Rev. Tim Emmons will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born September 27, 1918 near Tupelo in Coal County, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Sarah "Sally" Swaffer Horton. She attended Owl Creek school.
She married Floyd Cooper on March 5, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2002. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Cooper and his wife Jenny of Ada, and Doyle Cooper and his wife Carolyn of Prague; her grandchildren, Jim Cooper and wife April of Ringling, Deborah and husband Tommy Honeycutt of Ft. Gibson, Brian Cooper and Shonda Cooper of Ada; her great grandchildren, Caty and husband Matt Thomas, Kimberlin, Cara Lin, and John Honeycutt, Codey, Erin, and Zane Cooper, and Dylan and Beau Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; and seven sisters.
Bearers will be Brian Cooper, Zane Cooper, Codey Cooper, Jim Cooper, Tommy Honeycutt, Matt Thomas, John Honeycutt, Dylan Sparks and Beau Sparks.
