OLEN ROBBINS
ADA-James Olen Robbins, 87, Ada, are noon Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Robbins died Friday, July 23, 2010, at his home. He was born Nov. 12, 1922, at Pecan Grove to Raymond and Donnie Boring Robbins. He attended grade school at Pecan Grove and high school at Latta. Mr. Robbins was employed with Western Electric in Anadarko and then was the owner and operator of Robbins Grocery. He later worked for Chemical Express. He was affiliated with Central Church of Christ.
Mr. Robbins and Madelyn M. Perkins were married June 27, 1943. She died May 12, 1997.
Survivors include one son, Trevor Robbins and wife Donna, Ada; one sister, Barbara Casady, Ada; and one granddaughter, Kaya Robbins, Ada.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rickie Diane Robbins Burrows, who died in 1977.
Bearers will be Robert Smith, Richard Smith, Cody Smith, Garrett Rhynes, Mike Caton and Mike Casady.
