Obituary

ADA- Graveside Services for Norman R. Vandegriff, 89, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate.
Mr. Vandegriff died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at a Del City, Oklahoma nursing home. He was born July 27, 1923 southwest of Ada, to Reuben Vandegriff and Alice Tennessee Vandegriff. He attended Vanoss School.
He married Betty Jean Baker on December 15, 1947. She preceded him in death after 56 years of marriage. He worked for Ada Cab during World War II and then worked for Swanson Supply Co. where he was a heat and air repairman for 43 years. He retired from East Central University in 1985.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Watson and husband James of Del City, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Christopher R. Watson of Del City, Oklahoma and J. Todd Watson and wife Diane of Doyle, Oklahoma; two great-grandsons, Cody W. Watson and Rowdy J. Rogue of Doyle, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Norvell Vandegriff.
