Norma Jean
Worcester
January 24, 1968 – August 5, 2021
Norma Jean Worcester, aka "Mama Jean" was our meanest, neediest and super loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. Norma ONLY suffered with diabetes, congestive heart failure, renal disease, no legs, no feet, poor eye site, and ole' crickety joints, and She finally lost her battle on august 5 th , 2021 in Ada, OK at the age of 53.
She was born to Norman Worcester and Jean Fennel on January 24 th , 1968 in Ada, Oklahoma. She was pushed daily by her momma to graduated the 12 th grade, and that she did! She graduated Byng High School in 1983. Norma went on and attended Murray State College in pursuit of earning her degree in Early Childhood. She wanted to be a teacher.
What is not to love about a woman who was loyal to the ones she loved and loved her family hard? – almost as much her Marlboro light cigarettes, Bingo, Board Games, TV game shows, road trips, adventure on the back roads, fishing, swimming and partying- all in that order.
Mama Jean was the Life of the party and usually the first one to get mad and start a fight, that crazy little sister and the Coolest Aunt on this earth! Norma was a NO BULL kinda gal who took no crap from anyone. She always had a funny way of having her last word. She also suffered from stubbornness.
She is proceeded in death by her Father- Norman, Sister- Therese and husband Sam, and two Brothers – Travis & Johnny.
She leaves behind her Momma, Jean of Ada, a sister- Brenda and her husband Jeff of Ada, a Daughter- Kandi and her spouse Drew, 4 Grandchildren; Kason, Kanden, Kyston, and Kaylie, a brother- Woody of OKC, and a special friend of 25 years- David. In addition, she also left behind a boat load of Diabetic medications and medical supplies for us to wade through and get rid of.
Before Norma became a mother, she was proud to become an aunt too, Keri, Shannon, Jayme, Christian, Ryan and Brittany. She went on to have several great nieces and nephews and recently became a great great aunt!
As requested by her mother and sister, and on Norma's behalf, would like to make a Special Thank You to Keri and Gene for taking care of her in her final days.
