NORMA WALLIS
BYNG-Services for Norma Jean Wallis, 76, Byng are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ada First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rev. Robert Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wallis died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at her home. She was born July 27, 1931 at Fittstown, Oklahoma to Homer and Iva Dough Reed. She lived in this area all her life.
She married Delbert Gene Wallis on December 31, 1962 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Ada. Mrs. Wallis had been employed as a sales clerk at C. R. Anthony and Dillon's Department Stores until her retirement. Later, she was employed with the Byng School System. She was an active member of the Ada First Pentecostal Holiness Church for over twenty-five years.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Wallis, of the home; children, Sharon Daniel and husband Joe, Byng, Bill Wallis and wife Dawn, Ada, Gregg Wallis and wife Diana, Byng, and Jeff Wallis and wife Barbara, Byng; thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanie, her parents, Homer and Iva Reed, and a brother, Billy Joe Reed.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Joe K. Daniel, Adam L. Daniel, Joshua I. Wallis, Nick H. Wallis, Steven T. Wallis, and Dustin A. Wallis. Honorary bearers will be Mark Gholson, Joe Kelough, Benjamin Lewis, and Keith Gaines.
