NORMA THOMPSON
ADA-Services for Norma Jean Johnson Thompson, 52, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Hazel Wallace will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakman Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Chapel.
Ms. Thompson died Friday, December 6, 2013 at an Ardmore hospital. She was born March 3, 1961 in Ada, Oklahoma to Wesley and Leona Mae Johnson Seckinger. She attended Byng schools. Ms. Thompson had been a houseparent at McCall's Chapel and later she was a nurse's aide at a nursing home.
Survivors include a daughter, Heather Harjo and her husband Chris of Ada; a son, Bradley Johnson of Boley; a granddaughter, Brooklyn Brown of Ada; her mother, Leona Seckinger of Allen; three sisters, Sandra LaGuardia and her husband Irvin of Ada, Margie Johnson of Allen, and Kathleen Jones and her husband Jimmy of Ada; one brother, Ricky Johnson of Ada; her companion, David Jackson of Ada; and her nieces and nephews, Patrick Eddy, Charles Eddy, Brittany Johnson, Ashley Duque, Stephanie Seckinger, Charles Runnels, and Nathan Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Seckinger.
Bearers will be Brad Hatton, Jimmy Jones, Cason Neeley, Christian Jackson, Landon Jackson, and Ricky Johnson. Honorary bearer will be Chris Harjo.
