NORMA ROBERTS
ADA-Services for Norma Lee Roberts, 79, Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at an assisted living facility in Ada. She was born January 3, 1928 at West Portal, Colorado to Walter and Jewel Taylor Graper. She and her family moved to Fittstown, Oklahoma in 1933 from Colorado. She attended school at Allen and graduated from McLish High School in 1945.
She married Guynn Roberts on October 23, 1976 at Conser, Oklahoma. He died in March, 1993 at Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Roberts was employed by General Adjustment Bureau for 16 years. She retired after 16 years with vocational rehabilitation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada, the Primetimers, and active in the Valley View Auxiliary.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Betty Shipley, Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; two grandsons, Matt Shipley, Tulsa, and Aaron Shipley, Hawkins, Texas; two great granddaughters, Kennedy and Cameron Shipley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Joe Gifford, Ada; and a close friend, Roy Hinkle.
