NORMA JOHNSON
ADA-Services for Norma Ruth Johnson, 66, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Willie Alexander will officiate, assisted by Rev. Richard Canoe. Burial will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery near Kullihoma. A Wake Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson died Monday, July 9, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born February 15, 1946 in Kullihoma, Oklahoma to Albert Stick and Celia D. Johnson. She was raised in Kullihoma, attended boarding school in Ardmore and recently moved back to this area from Oklahoma City.
She married Dewayne Patty. Mrs. Johnson was a housekeeper in the hotel industry. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God Indian Mission in Oklahoma City. She attended full gospel singings.
Survivors include two sons, Rudy Johnson and Christian Johnson, both of Oklahoma City; her sisters, Louise Marrs, Connerville, Charlene Vasquez, Ada, Viola Jim, Shawnee, Irene Banks, Ada, Deloris Alexander, Midwest City, and Darlene Meeks and husband Ray, Cyril; a brother, Bill Alexander, Amber; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dean Walker, Edwin Alexander, Jimmy Walker; and a sister, Wanda Alexander.
Bearers will be Tom Jim, Harvey Jim Jr., Melvin Alexander Sr., Marvin Alexander, Michael Markcum and Eugene Marrs Jr. Honorary bearers will be Ronald Walker, Rick Walker and Dennis Walker.
