BEA PLATT
OKLAHOMA CITY-Services for Beatrice "Bea" Platt, 98, Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Butch Platt will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Platt died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at a Yukon hospital. She was born April 2, 1910 at Amity, Arkansas to Thomas William and Mary Leona Conine Rush. She attended school at Blue, Oklahoma.
She married Rufus Benjamin Platt on May 19, 1930 at Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1975. Mrs. Platt was a seamstress for Gluckman's Department Store in Ada and later with Streets Department Store in Oklahoma City until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ada and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Ben Platt and wife Juanita, Oklahoma City, and Dan Platt, Yukon; four granddaughters, Lori Platt, Garland, TX, Robyn Delozier and husband Jeff, Rowlett, TX, Anita Smith and husband Phil, Yukon, and Melony Coen and husband Steve, Edmond; four great granddaughters, Nicole, Ashli, and Amber Delozier, Rowlett, TX, and Andrea Garrett and husband Mike, Oklahoma City; two great grandsons, Gabriel Smith, Oklahoma City, and Noah Coen, Edmond; and two great great grandsons, Colin Garrett and Caden Garrett, both of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
