ADA- Funeral services for Laverne Collins, 74, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Abba's House with burial to follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. Rev. Norman Standfield and Rev. Ken Angel will officiate.
Mrs. Collins died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at her home. She was born February 28, 1937, to Jesse James Delozier and Cynthia Francis Davis, at Stonewall, Oklahoma. She attended Latta School and was a homemaker.
She married Herman Lee Collins at Ada, Oklahoma on July 31, 1954. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1996.
Survivors include 3 sons, Eddie Collins and wife Tammy of Ada, Danny Collins and wife Beth of Purcell, Tommy Collins and wife Nina of Ada, 2 daughters, Trish Miller and husband Larry of Ada, a Teresa Wood and husband Gary of Ada, 2 sisters and 3 brothers, 15 grandchildren, Tammi Collins, Tony Collins and wife Toni, Troy Miller and wife Hailey, Drew Miller and wife Tara, Lindsay Collins, Chad Collins and wife Shawn, Derek Collins and wife Rachel, Jake Collins, Chrissy Noland and husband Micah, Matt Miller and wife Autumn, Bradley Miller, Keith Wood and wife Amanda, Brandon Wood, Karissa Hinman and husband John, Brett Collins and wife Amber, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 grandsons, Danny Collins and Steven Collins, great grandchild Parker Noland, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
