MAXWELL-Services for Noez Virginia Howerton, 81, of the Maxwell community are 2:00 Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dennis Heath will officiate. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery in Stratford.
Mrs. Howerton died Monday, January 30, 2012 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born October 28, 1930 in the Maxwell community to Wesley and Chloe Rutledge Farmer. She attended Summers Chapel and Vanoss schools.
She married Tommy Lee Howerton on June 21, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1981. Mrs. Howerton was a sales clerk for S & Q Clothiers, Whimsical Heart and other retail sales stores.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Howerton, Jerry Howerton and his wife Lynnda, and James Howerton and his wife Stephanie, all of Ada; three sisters, Juan Pearce and Janie Tilley and her husband Kirby, all of Ada, and Judy Patzer and her husband Lester of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
