NELSON BELL
ADA-Services for Nelson Dwight Bell, 70, Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, Revs. Vicki Crooks and Zac Christian will officiate.
Mr. Bell died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at his home. He was born March 12, 1939 at McCamey, Texas to Buford K. and Helen Mann Bell. He graduated from Bisbee, Arizona high school and graduated from the University of Phoenix with an Bachelor's Degree. He served in the U. S. Air Force.
He married Peggy Jo Hammack on February 7, 1964. He and his family moved to Ada in March, 2003 from Ft. Worth, Texas. Mr. Bell was an ordained Baptist minister and later a Weapons System Analyst for Lockheed. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Bell, of the home; one daughter, Kathleen Duty, of the home; a son, Russell Dwight Bell, Portland, OR; grandchildren, Heather Bell, Jennifer Bell and Ashley Bell, Andrew Duty, Katelyn Duty, Madelyn Duty, Emily Duty, and Hannah Duty; and a brother, Kirtley Bell and wife Glenna, Walnut Springs, Texas.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the First Christian Church Youth Program, 101 E. 13th, Ada, OK 74820.
