NATHAN JOHNSON
ADA-Services for Nathan James Johnson, 23, Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Bob Graves and Chris Wall officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Nathan died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born September 10, 1986, in Oklahoma City to James Herman and Susanne Jackson Johnson. He attended school at Blanchard and graduated from Latta High School in 2005, where he was a member of the Latta State Baseball Champion team. He attended Butler Community College in Eldorado, Kansas, where he played baseball, and graduated from Southeastern University, in May 2009, where he also played baseball. He was employed at Riverwind Casino and was affiliated with Allen Church of God of Prophecy.
He married Andrea McKerley on February 22, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Johnson, of the home; expecting daughter, Avyn Nateleigh Johnson; father, James Johnson and his wife Cheryl, Ada; mother, "Susie" Maeder and husband Daniel, Blanchard; two sisters, Amanda Warrior and husband Shae, Oklahoma City; and Summer Maeder, Blanchard; two brothers, Tyler Johnson, Blanchard; and Laramy Johnson, Latta; maternal grandmothers, Norma Jackson, Wheatland, Oklahoma and Carolyn Maeder, Dibble; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Rex Duggan, Latta; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Melvin Jackson and Jesse Johnson.
Bearers are Greg Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Laramy Johnson, Brad Miller, Norm Marlow, Mark Mushaven and Matt Hinds. Honorary bearers are Shae Warrior, Dan Ray, and all former teammates, coaches and baseball players.
