VALERA COVENTON
ADA-Services for Nanny Valera Coventon, 91, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home, Dr. Rusty Fuller will officiate. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Coventon died on Monday, April 14, 2008, at an Allen nursing home. She was born February 18, 1917, in Kentucky to Richard and Sally Ann Madison Patrick. She lived most of her life in Ada. She lived in Oklahoma City for several years and also Lane for several years. She attended Ada elementary schools and graduated from Ada High School.
She married Kennard Franklin Coventon on June 12, 1936, at Ada. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1993. Mrs. Coventon was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ken Coventon Jr., and wife Tia, Edmond; a daughter, Lou Tollison and husband Robert, Ada; 6 grandchildren, Kathy Gwinn and husband Ronnie, Ada, Cindy Rains, Ada, Susan Castleberry and husband Robert, Ada, Christina Coventon, Oklahoma City, Kenny Coventon, Oklahoma City, and Jason Coventon, Oklahoma City; 10 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Norton, Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Carol Lynn Coventon in 1946, a sister, and two brothers.
Bearers will be Andrew Castelberry, Matthew Castleberry, Jacob Castleberry, David Ellis, Jr., Kenny Coventon, and Jason Coventon.
