Nancy Louise
Saunders
February 14, 1952 – October 4, 2021
Good afternoon. We're gathered here today to celebrate the life and love of Nancy Louise Saunders. Nancy was an adored wife, a loving mother and sister, a cherished Mema and best friend. She departed this earth to claim her place in Glory on October 4, 2021 at the age of 69. In her home going, Nancy joined her beloved "Daddy and Mother", Asher and Florence Coffman; her 6 brothers, Paul Miller, Willard Miller, Richard Coffman, James Coffman, Jimmy Coffman and Clifford Coffman; her sisters, Margaret Miller, Barbara Miller and Patricia Coffman, as well as her grandson Dusty Brock, a jubilant reunion she had looked forward to for years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Kenneth Saunders; her sister, Delores Coffman; her brother, Eugene Coffman; two daughters, Gerri Lynn Ross and Kimberly Ross; and her two sons, Eddie Brock and Brandon Brock. Nancy's children blessed her in abundance, leaving her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren who will share her memory and carry her spirit for generations to come.
In true sweetheart fashion, Nancy Louise Saunders was born February 14, 1952 to Asher and Florence Coffman in Fresno, California. Shortly after her joyous arrival, she was swiftly renamed, "Wheezy" by her doting big sister Dee-Dee. In her later years, Nancy admitted she didn't particularly mind the assigned endearment, but shared that as a young girl, she would cry and cry until her Daddy told her sister, "Call her Nancy Louise-like I named her." Nancy was a kind and gentle soul. She was generous to a fault, unknowingly hilarious, and she had a true servant's heart. At a young age she adopted her parent's strong work ethic and followed them in Christian faith. She would often share happy memories of her childhood that included working in the orchards or vineyards and attending all night Holy Ghost gospel singings with her family in California. She grew up happy and loved.
Nancy worked for nearly 40 years in the medical field, and was a proud Certified Medication Aide and nursing assistant. She often held 2 jobs at a time and worked tirelessly to serve those around her. In her retirement, her iron clad work integrity did not fade. She continued to share her kindness-working in the children's nursery as a caretaker and teaching God's love to countless little one's- one hymn, one verse, and one prayer at a time. She was a diligent servant of Christ her entire life and through her unwavering faith will live on forever.
