A visitation for Nadine Carlene Whitley, 94, of Ada will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Whitley passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at her home.  She was born February 12, 1930 in Oakdale, OK to Carl and Agnes Charles Taggart.

She married Bill Whitley on December 5, 1948.  She began teaching English at Ft. Cobb, OK in the late 60's and moved to Sulphur, OK in the early 70's and taught High School Business, Accounting, Typing, and English classes until she retired in 1993.  Bill and Nadine moved to Eagle Rock, MO after her retirement and she lived there until 2013.  She then moved into the Baptist Village in Ada, OK.

Survivors are her five sons, Blake Whitley and wife, Debbie of Cassville, MO, Kevin Whitley and wife, Carole of Inola, OK, Colin Whitley and wife, Jackie of Seminole, OK, Brett Whitley and wife, Nancy of Ada, OK, and Pat Whitley and wife, Lisa of Durant, OK; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Carl and Agnes Taggart; brother, Gene Taggart; sister, Janiece; and grandson, Garet Whitley.
