Murriel Johnson, Jr.

Services for Murriel Freeman Johnson, Jr., 60, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Allen Church of God of Prophecy, Rev. Aaron Finney will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Sunday until service time.

Mr. Johnson passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at a local hospital. He was born May 31, 1958 at Mendota, California to Murriel Freeman Johnson and Florence L. Wall Johnson. He attended Allen schools.

Mr. Johnson was a former employee in the oilfield industry. He served in the U. S. Army and was discharged July, 1981.

Survivors include his parents, Murriel Johnson, Sr. and Florence Johnson, of Allen; his children, Misty Bagwell and husband Jerrell of Stratford, Jesse Johnson and Gregory Johnson, both of Allen, Brittney Johnson of Watertown, S.D. and Dylan Johnson and wife Tamara of Oil Center; his grandchildren, Gareth Johnson, Aubury Johnson, Tandy Sue Wilson, Brian Redmond, Lashawna Bagwell, Kala Johnson, Makenna Beets, Coby Beets, Taygon Beach, Harmony Beach, Paizley Compton and Ahannah Johnson.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruby Johnson.

Bearers will be Gregory Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Terry Johnson, Danny Johnson and Clark Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Jerrell (Jay) Bagwell, Randell Johnson, Roy Johnson and Murriell Johnson, Sr.
