Miranda Smith

A memorial service for Miranda Shea Smith, 41, of Ada will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Ms. Smith died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at an Oklahoma City hospital.  She was born December 21, 1982 in Ardmore to Charles Nathan and Pamela Suzanne Howry Rhyne.

She graduated from Latta High School in 2001. Ms. Smith was then a homemaker, friend to many, and her boys were her world.

Survivors include parents, Pete and Pamela Rhyne, of Ada; two sons, Derek and Dreak Smith, of Ada; maternal grandfather, Dale Howry, of Roff; two sisters, Amity Apsey and husband Chris and Kaycee Rhyne, all of Ada; nieces and nephews, Jayden, Emilee, Connor, Ja'Necee and Gabe; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Virgil and Marie Rhyne; maternal grandmother, Sue Foster Howry; uncle Dee Howry; niece, Virginia Rose; aunt Sally Marie Thomason; and sister-in-law, Susan Manuel.
