Mildred (Bill) Dew
Services for Mildred Rowena (Bill) Utley Dew, 91, of Ada will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Central Church of Christ. Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery.
Mrs. Dew passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, at Grace Living Center in Edmond. She was born September 10, 1926, at Okemah to John Henry and Callie Irene Loyd Jones. She graduated from Okemah High School and attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. She also attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee.
She married Orrin Walter Utley in 1945 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1963. She later married Albert Dew in 1973. He preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. Dew worked as a sales representative for Home Interiors and Gifts and later as a secretary at Central Church of Christ, where she was a longtime member.
Survivors include her children, Joni Chilcoat and husband Alan of Edmond, Jenie Adams of Tulsa, and Jay Utley and wife Vickie of Grapevine, Texas; her grandchildren, Julie Wulfert, Gina Prestridge, Chase Skipper, Jeremy Utley, Zackary Utley, and Rachel Hennessy; and her great-grandchildren, Haley Batchelder, Seth Wulfert, Langdon Gallegos, Lexie Chancellor, Evie Utley, Zelynn Utley, Corrie Utley, Jude Utley, and Harper Utley; and her great-great-grandchildren, Rowan Batchelder and Lennox Gallegos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; and her siblings, Stella Benson, Hazel Sowder, Corine Cook, Myree Phillips, Clifford Jones, Loyd Jones, and Johnnie Jones.
Bearers will be Chase Skipper, Jeremy Utley, Zack Utley, Chris Wulfert, J.P. Hennessy, and Shane Prestridge. Honorary bearers will be Gerri Stephens, JoElla Harrison, Debbie Fowler, Nancy Harris, Kathy Adams, and Lois McMillin.
The family says those who wish may make memorials should make them to the Central Church of Christ, 820 South Stadium Drive; or Compassion Outreach Center, 1124 Cradduck Road, Ada, Oklahoma 74820.
