Mildred Kirby

Private services will be held at a later date for Mildred Louise Kirby, 92, of Ada.

Mrs. Kirby passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at an Ada nursing home. She was born February 21, 1926 at Mounds, OK to Wesley Nathan and Iva Lura Wolfe Butterfield. She graduated from Mounds High School.

She married Vaughn Ell Kirby July 1, 1954 in Salinas, CA. He preceded her in death November 3, 2008. Mrs. Kirby was a switchboard operator while she lived in California and also a glass cutter for Zenell.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise Terrell of Ada and Linda Kirby and Ron Heathcock of Anaheim, CA; six grandchildren, Patrick MacArthur, Phoenix, AZ, Jason Kishaba, LaMirada, CA, Kristi Dowis and husband Chris, Oklahoma City, Ronnie Kirby, Garden City, CA, Daniel Heathcock, Anaheim, CA and Tiffany Terrell, Ada; two great-grandchildren, Destiny MacArthur of Arizona and Christopher Dowis, Oklahoma City; two nephews, James Butterfield and Ted Butterfield; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Jenette Reise; and a brother, Edgar Butterfield.
