MILDRED GINNIS
ADA-Services for Mildred Lavada Ginnis, 91, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Ada Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Bro. Ron Shipley will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Ginnis died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at her home. She was born April 22, 1923 at Weleetka, Oklahoma to Joe Wheeler and Effie Elizabeth Smith Bullock.
She married Frank Ginnis on June 18, 1940 in Sapulpa. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1972 in Ada. Mrs. Ginnis had worked at Reeves Packing Company in Ada and was a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Hutchings of Stewart, British Columbia, Janice Vowell and husband David of Mesa, AZ, and Judy Pannell of Ada, OK and Denison, TX; a son, Jimmie Ginnis of Ada; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a sister, Nadine Maynard and her husband George of Sapulpa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Jessie Loyd Ginnis.
