MILDRED GIBSON
ADA-Services for Mildred Gibson, 88, Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Gibson died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born January 21, 1922 near Ada, Oklahoma to Looney Brice and Martha Catherine Jared Thompson. She lived in this area all her life. She attended school at Ahloso and graduated from Stonewall High School in 1942.
She married Ben A. "Sub" Gibson. He preceded her in death September 27, 1951. Mrs. Gibson was a clerk for Montgomery Ward until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school class for many years.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Keeble and Wilburn Bennett, Janice and James Presley, Johnny and Evelyn Thompson, Naomi Allison, Don and Joan Thompson, Sherell Thompson, and Pat and Howard Ryles, all of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bennie Brice Gibson on February 27, 1968.
Bearers will be Justin Presley, Jared Presley, Bobby Thompson, Joey Thompson and Wade Thompson.
