Michael Thomas

Services for Michael Eugene Thomas, 47, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate.

Mr. Thomas passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at a Norman hospital. He was born October 29, 1973 at San Bernardino, California to David and Lucille Tinie Searle Thomas.

Michael married his high school sweetheart, Helen Marie Chapman on March 22, 1993 at Mojave, CA. Mr. Thomas was a Safety Manager for Pontotoc Sands.

Michael was the proud daddy of three children, Michael Jr., Ashley and William and Pops to three grandbabies: Kayleb, Lynnda and Kyler (and two more on the way in early 2021). Michael loved spending time with his family, cooking on the grill, working with wood, watching and coaching his children in sports, and spending time with his kids playing video games.

Michael always had a smile, a joke, and a helping hand to anyone who needed it. God broke the mold when he made Michael. He was a wonderful husband, son, father, grandpa and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, of the home; his three children, Michael Thomas of Ada; Ashley Thomas of Ada and William Thomas of the home; his mother, Tinie Phillips, Granite Shoals, TX; his grandchildren, Kayleb, Lynnda and Kyler, and two on the way, Michael III and baby; his brothers, Spencer Thomas and wife Josette, Reno, NV and William "Billy" Thomas and wife Anna, Winnsboro, TX; aunt, Linda Quinn, California; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Searle, Granite Shoals, TX; his step-father, Robert Culver, California; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Searle.

God broke the mold when he made Michael. He was a wonderful husband, son, daddy, grandpa and friend. He will be greatly missed.
