ADA-Memorial Services for Michael Dean "Mike" Hayes, 57, of Ada, are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Stonewall, Revs. Richard Dickerson and Gary Jamar will officiate.
Mr. Hayes died Friday, March 8, 2013 at his home. He was born February 23, 1956 in Ada, Oklahoma to John Faraldean and Jeanette Mae Shue Hayes. He attended McLish grade school and graduated from Stonewall High School.
He married Jeanette Mae Hoglund on May 15, 1999 at Stonewall. Mr. Hayes owned and operated Hayes Land Surveying for 5 years and had worked for Curtis and Guinn Surveying for 33 years. He was a member of the Stonewall First Baptist Church and had served for over 20 years in volunteer fire service. He served as the Fire Chief at the Stonewall and Union Valley Volunteer Fire Departments.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Hayes, of the home; a son, Les Hayes and his wife Helen of Elmore City; three sisters, Stacy Madron and husband Bommu of Colorado, Belinda Griffin and husband Norman of Stonewall and Paula Hall and her husband Tim of Stonewall; his grandsons, Joarden and Corbyn; three nephews, Adam Hall and wife Randi, Randall Madron and wife Laura, and Gaylen Griffin; and two nieces, Rachel Melton and husband Derek and Nedra Munoz and husband Javier.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest son, Michael.
Honorary bearers will be Steve Morrison, Kenneth Fair, Bob Curtis, Tim Hall, Norman Griffin and Randall Madron
