MELVIN ALEXANDER, SR.
ADA-Services for Melvin Eugene Alexander, Sr., 63, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bill Alexander will officiate. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander died Monday, October 8, 2012 at his home. He was born January 23, 1949 in Talahina, Oklahoma to Jim and Wanda Marie Walker Alexander.
Mr. Alexander was an auto body repairman for Rufus Paint and Body Shop most of his life.
Survivors include two sons, Melvin Alexander, Jr. and Michael Alexander, both of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Regina Golden and husband Loyd, Ada, Diane Alexander and Cassandra Alexander, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Alvin Alexander, Sr. and wife Madelyn, Ada, and Marvin "Dondi" Alexander and wife Donna, Blanchard; four sisters, Lawanna Watkins and husband Mike, Ada, Ramona "Valdene" Willis and husband William, Norman, Juanita "Marsha" Tatum and husband Jessie Tatum, Sr., Ada, and Quanna Ned and husband Albert, Oklahoma City; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Wanda Alexander.
Bearers will be Michael Markum, Eugene Marrs, Jr., Chris Ahrens, Alvin Alexander, Jr., Brian Cissnec, and Mike Watkins. Honorary bearers will be Henry James, Wordley Walker and Jessie Tatum, Sr.
