Melinda “Winna” Grove Booth
A celebration of life for Melinda “Winna” Grove Booth, 57, of Ada, will be held on June 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Restoration Church, 622 N Townsend Ave., Ada, OK 74820.
Melinda passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her home. She was born September 17, 1968, in Ada, to Dwight Lee and Rozanna Lois Shreffler Grove. She was a driver for Seth Wadley.
Melinda will be remembered for her outspoken spirit, creative soul, and deep love for the outdoors. She had a remarkable artistic talent and brought beauty and imagination into the lives of those around her. Her unique sense of humor could brighten any room and left lasting memories with family and friends. She had a special love for animals and found joy in nature, adventure, and the simple moments spent with those she loved most. Above all, she cherished her family deeply, and her strength, laughter, and individuality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, James Vernon Howard II, of Ada; daughter, Briana Mechele Scribner, of Ada; mother, Rozanna Grove, of Ada; two sisters, Michelle Rene Booth and husband, John, of Stratford and Rebecca Dean Grove Kormendy and husband, Tim, of Shawnee; nieces and nephews, Christopher “Scoot” Booth, Maegan Cowans, Makenzi Walls, Ethan Lamb, and Brandon Lamb; grandson, Miles Owen Scribner; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dwight Grove.
